| How are we related to the other FHF Centers? |

We are part of a network of 10 Families Helping Families Centers. Each center is their own 501 (c) 3 and governed by their own Board of Directors.
Nine of those centers are also part of the Louisiana Association of Families Helping Families. We are not part of this association. Automatic membership was offered to FHF Centers that have Louisiana Developmental Disabilities Contracts, which we do not have. Application membership was offered to all centers that did not receive funding and the Board of Directors of FHF of Jefferson elected not to apply for membership as there seemed to be no benefits, but additional liabilities.
Each center builds its programs based on the needs in its own region. The common mission, philosophy and dedication to people with disabilities and their family member make all centers similar. Donna Yancey, former Executive Director of Families Helping Families of Greater Baton Rouge, took this quote and made it our motto:
